di talaga ako magaling sa housework. at least, not at par with the meticulous and very high standards of jet. para sa kanya, dapat fresh smelling at mabango ang labada (na di ko magawa), yung sahig dapat spotless na halos madulas ka (na di ko magawa), pag may nahulog na abubot ay magagalit siya (parati kong ginagwa). those sort of things. it is an understatement to say na control freak siya sa bahay.
PAANO MO PAPARAHIN ANG SASAKYAN KUNG WALA ITONG DRIVER?
grand opening ngayon dito sa singapore ng NEL (north-east line). ito yung underground train system na ginawa nila na umiikot palibot sa north-east part (where else?) ng siyudad… $5 billion cost, 16 stations over 20 kilometers. what’s cool about this new MRT system is that it is the first fully automated underground heavy rail system in the world.
anong ibig sabihin nito? uh, walang driver yung train. hehehe… being an automation engineer myself, interesado ako kung papaano ito tatakbo ngayong commercial operation na siya. i’m sure marami pa itong bugs at yung fact na walang driver ang train makes it more exciting. narinig nyo na ba yung kanta ng soul asylum?

tj, az, mommy, jay and dante. now dante is a legend in philippine radio. he started punk rock in the philippines and was the long time host of “pinoy rock and rhythm” during the glory days of the rock of manila. his name is howlin’ dave and he’s my brother.

“a cook’s tour” by tony bourdain. the travels of a new york cook around the world in search for the “perfect meal”. great book to bring on a trip.
what i’m currently watching while i’m working at home: “beatles anthology, box set of 5 dvd’s. kakalabas lang sa singapore at binili ko agad. if you want to find out how great the beatles were and how they shaped music as we know today, go and watch this 11 hour perspective of the life and times of john, paul, george and ringgo. the sound’s really really great, especially if your player has DTS.
what i’m currently watching habang nagpapaantok: “purple rose of cairo” , written and directed by woody allen. “I just met a wonderful new man. He’s fictional, but you can’t have everything”, so says mia farrow in the movie. di ko matapos tapos dahil parati akong nakakatulog. hehehe… i play the dvd and the next thing you know tapos na yung movie at umaga na. pinagpapalit palit ko yung aking other favorite na “groundhog day” at itong movie na ito para makatulog sa gabi. hirap talaga ng home alone ano?

si az, pinaglalaruan yung nunal ko sa mukha. hehehe… siguro nakikita niya ang magiging hitsura niya pag siya’y tumanda: yung matang singkit at sutil na ngiti. give me five, tito jay! aray!
yung pagka-sutil, singkit na mata at malalim na boses, minana naming lahat sa daddy ko. naalala ko na naman siya. birthday niya nung june 4 at kung buhay pa siya ngayon ay 81 na siya. marami akong kwento sa daddy ko. maraming mga ala-ala na minsan nagpapasaya sa akin, minsan nama’y magpapa-senti.

from left to right, counter clockwise: si tj, malayo pa lang ako eh nakangiti na. ang bagong dating na si az, sama agad sa akin. sila ang dalawang apo ko. actually mag-pinsan sila. si tj ay anak ni donna. si az ay anak ni david. si david at si donna ay magkapatid. kuya nila si dennis. silang tatlo ay anak ni gigi na kapatid ko. si dennis (kahit pamangkin ko) ay mas matanda sa akin ng 4 na buwan pero sabay kaming lumaki (oo, sabay nabuntis ang mommy at ate ko) at pareho ang aming circle of friends (“i also friend him”, hehehe).

ang mga apo namin ni jet… si tj, 3 years old, all around singer dancer, kabisado nang dancing queen. si az, 8 months old, galawgaw, di mapakali. nahulog na sa kama sa sobrang likot, kamukha ko raw nung baby ako.
