ANONG GAGAWIN SA $10 MILYON

ngayon ang bola ng lotto (or toto) dito sa singapore. pinag-uusapan nga ito sa lahat ng mga coffee shops at opisina dahil ang premyo ay 10 million dollars. tumaya nga kami ng mga ka-opisina ko. ang lotto rito ay pitong numero. eh pito rin kami sa opis kaya tig-isa kaming number. ang aming taya: 05, 08, 09, 12, 13, 22, 26… i cross my fingers and legs, sana manalo kami. magkano ba ang tatamaan ko? eto ang computation: 10 million dibaydibay 7 equals 1.43 million dollars, equivalent to 47 million pesoses. PACKINGSHEET!

PLANT YOUR LOVE AND LET IT GROW

nip, cut, trim and simplify. gardening is so much like life. less is more. the main objective is to reduce the garden to it’s simplest form until only the essential remains and a sense of order emerges. however, some plants are born to be wild (like me) so don’t forget to let loose a few and let it grow semi-gubat. you don’t want your garden to be all organized and proper. that’s too boring. did i mention simplify?

read all the gardening books you can find to get a few tips. you’ll soon find out however, that experience is the best teacher. some plants will live, others will die (ok ka lang? ganyan talaga ang buhay). those that thrive however will show you the way. a garden is a perpetual work in progress where everything evolves and grows. add new plants from time to time but pay attention to the older ones. especially the ones that you had when you started. these plants are special and more often than not will stay with you till the day you die.

before i forget, don’t spend too much time under the family tree. life is so much richer out in the open with the wind at your back and the sun turning your skin into golden brown (like my kutis betlog). did i fail to mention simplify? nip, cut, trim and simplify. gardening is so much like life.

another weekend at home

goooooood morning from singapore! jet and i just stayed home during the weekend. we watched a lot of the DVD’s i got from china. i took an online certification exam from our company website and passed, much to the satisfaction of my boss. jogged in the morning and evening, slept late and ate…. and ate… and ate the following:

1. homemade beef tapa with datu puti vinegar and silverswan soysauce, rice and ginisang pechay with giniling na baboy.

2. i cooked my breakfast special – bacon, white rice, sunny side eggs and steamed tomatoes with extra virgin olive oil

3. beef steak tagalog with fresh onions on the top

4. and finally, we had a “to die for” ginisang monggo that jet made (actually she made everything except the breakfast special. hehehe)

still deciding if the IMAX version of matrix revolutions is worth watching. maybe next weekend, para sabay na christmas shopping. there’s no motivation to watch any shows. lately, the concert scene has been… well, “bad” is too weak a word to use. there’s dion warwick, air supply and herman’s hermits. hehehe… talk about jurassic pop. the last great band to come here was blondie last july, i think. the last concert we watched here was the rolling stones right before the SARS epidemic broke. now that was a really great great concert.

COMING HOME

homephotos-027

DAVAO ON MY MIND

DON’T TOUCH MY BIRDIE

perhaps you want to hear a funny parokya ni edgar song while watching the video of a group of friends who have been together for 32 years… ginawa ito ng kumpare kong si edgar maderazo, based na siya ngayon sa melbourne at siya ang network administrator ng monash university. kung interesado kayong mapanood ang MTV eh, punta na lang kayo by clicking on my BIRDIE

this song is lovingly dedicated to my wife JET, who is celebrating her birthday today. happy happy birthday, my love.

THE MEANING OF HOME
