Garp made me realize what’s possible in literature. Cosmos confirmed my long suspicion that my religious beliefs are bogus, and, that there is no god. Mockingbird was the English book-report that transcended homework. Noli made me laugh and cry – Rizal was a genius. Godfather 1 and 2 – best movie, ever. Yes, I consider them as 1 film, and oh by the way, you can throw Godftather 3 in the basurahan. Groundhog Day, best comedy film in my universe, funny and soooo deep. Apocalypse Now is about how a director will go to the depths of his madness in pursuit of his passion. I can dig that. Dark Side of the Moon is THE concept album. It rocked my adolescent world and resonates to this day. Running on Empty is the soundtrack of my life. The White Album, the Beatles just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks. It’s an album about nothing but still makes total sense.
