sir Batjay parinig ako ng playlist kasi gumagawa ako ng wishlist..hehe
ako, gusto ko kopya! π
ayos sir.
just for being interested in “tiny dancer”, you get a copy of my playlist.
have you seen “almost famous” – the semi autobiographical movie about director cameron crowe’s life as a rolling stone contributor. there’s a moving scene where they sang tiny dancer inside their tour bus.
makes me cry everytime.
interesting.
ang “wake me up when september ends” ay kanta ni billy joe armstong, ang lead vocalist at guitar player ng green day, para sa kanyang tatay who also died of cancer.
nung napanood ko nga yung almost famous, sabi ko, teka parang ako to (referring to the young reporter; no, i did not write for rolling stones, but i penned a lot of rock n roll essays in my youth), tas nun umiskor agad ako ng ost the following day. the school bus scene in a.f. is not just a moving scene, i’d say, it is the movie’s defining scene. rock n roll rocks!
ako rin, i identify with the young writer, not because i wrote for rolling stone (i wish) but i grew up in a household of radio celebrities and during the late 60s and 70’s, i lived vicariously through the exploits of my dad and brother. sometimes was even part of the scene with the concerts and shows where i got to meet the artists personally.
the school bus scene where they all sang “tiny dancer” is the defining scene of the movie – i agree.
gusto ko sana mg comment sa ibang mga posts, but i get tongue-tied (so to speak, (or better yet keyboard typing tied) and all i can do is laugh, howl, grin and smile mistily (i do this esp. when i read ma’am jet’s posts)
may the force be with you always!
maraming salamat sa pagbisita.
wow, nabasa mo na pala lahat ng entries simula 2001. that’s 7 years of my life. speaking of my life – paborito ko rin yung number 16. ang in my life ng beatles ay isa sa mga memorable na kanta ng buhay ko.
ingat kabayan at hanggang sa muli mong pagbalik.
astig!
nagustohan ko ang iyong mga inilistang kanta.
Pero yung “Old Man” ni neil young ang pinaka gusto ko.
great choice. i have 4 versions of this. the live massey concert recording, the nashville heart of gold concert recording and the studio version from neil young. ang panghuli ay yung cover ng wilson philips.
salamat sa history ng wake me up when september ends. dito ko lang nalaman yun ah. the song brings back sad memories.
Hello Sir Jay,
Puwede ho bang makahingi ng kopya?…
I love to hear #2,4,9,10,16,18…
Thanks in advance…
Ingat..
astig yup indeed duane allman is one of the greatest guitarrrer in this world. kainis lang nga corrupted Hardisk ko waaa nandun discography ng allman at the rest of my mp3 collections.. kaya eto tyaga nalng ako sa XM radio sa ngayon. hehe
yup, great guitarist. when i hear clapton’s layla now, i remember duane. jet and i saw dereck trucks play with EC during his concert last year. funny how it all comes full circle.
galing haha ganda danang collaboration steely dan + allman bros band + clapton + lynyrd skynyrd. all singig we are the world we are the children,, hehe
In addition, I also love Tiny Dancer, Landslide, and In My Life. IML has always been a very meaningful song for me.
landslide is a personal favorite as well. the dixie chicks did a cover of this and jet and i saw them perform this in LA.
great stuff.
salamat po sa reply. hehehe uu nga, nabasa ko ang 7 years ng buhay nyong mg-asawa and i must say, you did real great!
yeah, i can understand how the “in my life” song figures in your life. i think if almost all of your posts (especially those about ma’am jet and your wonderful relationship) have a theme song, it would be in my life. π
till next post nyo po
pahabol…and u are still both doing great!
thank you, that’s real sweet.
Mabuhay ang mga taga-Talipapa, Novaliches, Quezon City! π
Great selection of songs!
mabuhay. hehehe.
ingat.
jay
I’m sure it will come to you when you get to the area – magigising ang Talipapapenyo sa diwa mo pag naaninagan mo na ang Artee Drug at Miyaco hardware π Pag lumagpas, gamitin mo ang angking kaalaman mo ng shortcut sa Villa Sabina!
I’m sure it will be a resounding success π
thank you. hopefully, people will come for the launch.
ditto…
