pitong kantang masarap pakinggan pag tumatakbo:
- think, aretha franklin
- rockin’ in the free world, neil young
- world wide suicide, pearl jam
- what’s the frequency kenneth, REM
- dani california, red hot chili peppers
- pay me my money down, version ni springsteen
- your wildest dreams, the moody blues
ewan ko kung bakit, pero lalong bumibilis ang takbo ko pag tumugtog ang mga ito during my run to work. siguro, yung rhythm ng kanta ay nagbibigay ng pitter patter regularity sa cadence ng bawat hakbang ng paa. hindi ako magtataka kung may magsasabi sa akin na masarap din itong patugtugin while having sex.
Sir Batjay,
I run marathons here in SG and for me yung mga kanta ng Wolfgang (bec of the drums), Linkin Park (fast paced), at Black Eyed Peas (Pump It – intro nya was like yung sa Pulp Fiction) ang nagdadagdag ng lift sa takbo ko.
thank you. para pala siyang bernoulli’s principle
bossing,
I recently go for biking at east coast every weekend at masarap magbike pag magagandang songs sa ipod naririnig mo. Coldplay, U2 and Snow Patrol on my playlist.
Robbie: I love Wolfgang but the drums would be the last thing I’ll rave about. hehe. But then again, the rhythm never changes so it’s easy to follow the beat with your stride. haha
Batjay: Wow, may nakikinig pa pala sa “what’s the frequency kenneth”. Most people seem to think that this is REM’s worst album but yeah, I do agree, it is great for “moving”. 🙂
that probably says i am an anachronism
NINAAAAAAAAAAANG! pinakikinggan ko rin yang “respect” kaya parati akong sumisigaw ng “just a little bit”
keep on blogging. mahal na kita.
hm…dani california was also on your “songs to listen to while driving” list. i also like their song “can’t stop.” i like your song choices. they really are “feel-good” songs –heartwarming, di ba?
p.s. if you want to see my band perform, i put up some videos clips on my blog. look under the april 26 post.
hi rocker mama kat. yehey – i’ll watch your clips. matagal ko nang gustong mapanood ang band mo. you’re right, my song list are all feel good songs – endorphine enducing is what i call them. i’ve been listening to the chili peppers a lot lately, especially their new “stadium arcadium” CD. and yes, “Can’t Stop” is a great song too.
hey dyosa. maraming salamat sa dalawang buwan mong pagbasa. ingat at hanggang sa iyong pagbalik.
fafa jay! i’m so happy to read na tuloy tuloy pa din ang pagtakbo mo.. ako tagal nang natigil dahil puro byahe nalang eh.. pero starting today, May Day, i will run uli.. or walk muna.. para hinde naman mabigla! tutal i plan to enter the full marathon this time… 3x na din kasi akong nag 10k run eh.. so para naman mas challenging, 42km naman this time and target ko, pero pag by september/october eh wala pa din ako sa condition eh half marathon muna this year.
so, how’s mather jet? are you both keeping with your diet and exercise? ako parehong F ang grades ko sa diet and exercise, and health in general … last week na food poison ako sa china, tas prior to that e puro ubo sipon ako… stressed din kasi… i had a scare last week because i thought na stroke ang daddy ko, pero high sugar and cholesterol pala ang cause ng pagkahilo nya and hinde sya makagalaw. so ayun, na diagnose sya with diabetes and kailangan nya mag insulin parati.. tigas kasi ng ulo, so ayun natakot din…
sensya na ginawa ko nang email to… bihira na din kasi ako nakakapagbukas ng personal mails these days.. alam mo naman, spring is the conference season, so panay alis ko sa home base, kaya nga i can’t wait for my home leave sa june.. i will be in montreal the whole month of june!
yan muna wento. keep well!
jennipeng!!!
Boss Batjay,
A newbie here…buti nalang at naligaw ako dito..naka-ka-aliw. I can very well relate to your “transformation”..tomador ako sa pinas & lakas din mag-yosi pero ika nga ni bro.mike “press Gad” di na ngayon.
Check-out http://www.ancopusa.org / Hero’s Run…kaka-start lang ng training para sa Long Beach marathon (La Mirada & pasadena) this coming Oct.14..either 5k,half or full marathon or pwede rin sa mga siklista. This is for the benefit of Gawad Kalinga bossing. Email me for more details. Thanks & more power!
hey, i’d love to run a 5k for a pinoy benefit. good luck with your training. i just got a nike ipod sports kit and i use it to measure my running progress.
ingat.
Thx! So i’ll take that as a yes. I was planning to run my 1st full marathon last Oct. but got injured 2 wks prior so I just opted for the half. Of course one can train on their own pero mas masaya kung marami kayong nag-mo-motivate sa isa’t-isa (may kainan pa he-he) & all for a good pinoy cause!
Pls drop me an email so i can send u some more info/registration form. Thx.
p.s. re ipod kit..it seems seryosahan na training mo…w/ the rate ur going mabibitin ka sa 5k lang….go for the half/13 miler at least.
p.p.s. long beach marathon course is practically flat except for 2 bridges na medyo inclined ung approach..nice oceanside path!
we’ll see. i’m not sure if i’m in shape enough for a half but definitely, i’ll be able to do a 5k easily.
send me the details and if i’m available, i’ll run.
Where can i send it?
I love how Neil Peart plays the drums— Spirit of Radio is great while running. These days, tho, what’s on my mp3 player are what I call “one-hit-disco-wonders”…tipong Hot Chocolate, Three Degrees, pati si Tina Charles sinama ko na maski marami rami syang hits. Ok pag nagka crunches. At napa- Do The Hustle ko na si hubbydabs. Pa pa Rock The Boat ko sya next.
thank you for sharing your music. i love do the hustle and rock the boat. it reminds me so much of my wonder years.
Hindi man ako tumatakbo Pa, I do enjoy the music we’ve collected when I drive to and from work. Treasured possession talaga ang music collection natin… collected over the years and still a work in progress. Through you, ang dami kong nadidiscover na mga artists that I never would think I’d like.
Thanks Pa… for continuously coloring my world in so many different ways. Labyu!
