On the side of twelve misty mountains

  1. That’s the downside to fall weather, Pards. Nakakainis minsan talaga parang sayang ang pagod. I rake my leaves on weekends. Hinahayaan ko na lang mag-accumulate during the week.

  2. parang yung kanta ni barbra.

wala namang fall sa southern california. one day the leaves are green, the next day it’s brown and then the wind comes at puro kalat na sa paligid.

  4. hahaha…count your blessings, kapatid. Although, alam kong for literary effect lang yang pagrereklamo mo…:-) At least now, you own a tree, a piece of paradise rather than a cemented parking lot..remember that song?

Wag mo kasing araw-arawin ang paglilinis…sasakit likod mo, mapapamura ka nga..hahaha,,cheers! 😉

  5. tol,

ingat sa plano mong pagputol ng puno. wala ka sa pilipinas. baka bawal diyan magputol ng puno ng walang permiso eh makalaboso ka pa. have a nice day brod!

    regards….bong

  6. Batjay,

    Regards,
    Doc Mike

  7. I totally agree with you about raking falling leaves. Not only you rake your own leaves but also leaves coming from your neighbors. Out here though, the compensating part of laborius raking is I enjoy the colorful autumn leaves before they fall on the ground; an awesome gift from Mother Nature.

  8. hi unkyel! that is how i feel with the laundry in our house. i thought if i could only stay home and if i have more time, i will see the bottom of the laundry bins. i think that’s one of the reasons i felt really depressed the first month of being here in NC. i don’t have a job now, im now a sahm, and the friggin laundry bins are never empty, and i feel like a full time maid now as oppose to being part time in Napa. =P

  9. hey mye: baka pagtagal, you’ll be able to get out of the house again. do you plan to work in NC?

hi carmela. buti nga diyan where you are, the leaves turn. dito, green to brown to kalbong puno. medyo delikado pa ngayon kasi may santa ana winds. maraming mga brush fires at mahirap mag drive dahil sa crosswinds.

  10. ang usapan namin ni apach, to move here so i can spend more time with the kids, pero ganun pala yon, unkyel if you stop working for 20 something years, even if the last couple of years ive been crying to have more time with the kids, para talagang having the rug pulled from underneath me, why can’t i have this friggin cake and eat it, too? i feel really out of my elelment. so nadepress talaga ako. if im going to work, it will be part time – and when the kids are in school. if i can’t find work in couple of months, i may go back to school next sem, but i have to be able to drop off and pick up the kids in school.

oooh, and one thing more about shopping… apach hates to shop at w@lm@rt kasi daw they put his family out of business (they used to own 5 Steiners in NY back in the days). so we never shop at WM. i find that now that im poor, im loving the store, eff apach’s principles about not shopping there, im friggin poor now, and plus they actually have better produce than bi-lo’s or food lion’s. =P

  12. Hello Batjay ,

Been following your blogs.

  13. exercise in futility. i love that term and i think filipinos love doing futile exercises as well. it’s counter productive sometimes but keeps us sane, i guess.
