meet my brother, howlin’ dave. pinoy rock pioneer, original rockjock and NU 107 lifetime awardee. a lot of musicians and artists in the philippines owe their fame to him. he has gone through a lot and now he’s back on the air.
catch howlin’ dave at NU 107 every sunday, 5 to 6 PM. ang pangalan ng show niya ay “Tapsi Rock”. it’s the best rock show in manila. i’m saying this not because he’s my brother. he just puts a lot of intelligence and class in his radio program. i know. i’ve looked up to him ever since i was a small uncircumcised boy.
pag tumawag kayo sa station to make requests, sabihin ninyo nanggaling kayo rito. he’ll get a big kick out of it.

nung nandun ako sa daport nung april 14 napansin ko siya after the book launch.i saw him calling a cab sa harap ng fully booked. i approached him by calling his name.binati naman niya ako. i just wondered kung bakit hindi kasama ni unkyel batjay si howlin dave pag uwi.
ill try to tune in to him, kasi usually sunday im on my way to lucena na.. at olats dun, di abot ang signal ng mga radio stations, wala naman kaming net connection sa bahay, kaya di rin makapakinig online 😀

Please extend my congratulations to your dear bro, Jay! I’ve loved listening to his programs since I was in elementary school. Glad to know that he’s got a new one again. Loved his cool voice and demeanor on the air. The lifetime award is certainly more than deserved.

it was a typical pinoy rock sunday on rj ur ,dante was at his usual intellectual yet hippy approach when an alternate jock suddenly announce on the air that howlin dave blood pressure have skyrocketed so he went home and never to return again . i guess there is really a big issue out of it coz the next sunday a new set of jocks is anchoring the legendary program ,end of the story.pinoy rock with out the living legend howlin dave as anchor is quite difficult to enjoy and comprehend its relevance to the present times. he is one of a kind rock jock who ate and embrace pinoy rock as his bread and butter in life. you cant put a talentad and hippy guy down that is why nu 107 welcome his presence with much gusto.more power to dante in his new show tapsi rock

fan kasi ako ng NU 107 in the 80’s-90’s. my favorite DJ’s were major tom and chris cruise (ayan, buking tuloy edad ko!) lol I also used to be a fan of BM 105 and one of their DJ’s became a “friend” (Tasmanian Devil), I wonder where he is now… inutangan kasi ako (no kidding). ang loko, tinakbuhan ako! 😦

howlin’ dave started last month but he’s been a jock ever since the early 70s.
estudyante/actor ko si basia sa theatre before, tama nga ‘yung naalala ko na father nya si howlin dave. nasan na si basia? maraming salamat.
unkyel, mukang hindi kayo nagkalayo ng age. bata pa siguro sya when he started being a radio jock.
