mga ginawa ko ngayong taon para maging mas malusog:
- pumunta sa gym 3 times a week
- mag bisikleta papasok sa opisina
- tumakbo ng 5k every other day
- maging sex machine
kailangan kong gawin next year para madagdagan ang pogi points:
- i-finetune ang diet (ie, more fish less meat, more vegetables)
- ibaba pa ng 5 pounds ang timbang
- tumakbo pa ng mas mabilis para pag binato ako ng tsinelas ng misis ko ay makakailag ako.
- to run the rock and roll marathon – as god is my witness (habang naka pose na parang si scarlett o’hara). if i have to lie, steal, cheat or kill – i will run in san diego this coming june.

pinag-aaralan ko na nga ngayon kung ano ang pwede kong gawin during the next 6 months para maging in shape to run 26.2 miles this june.

As in, does the weather always permit such outdoor activities? I mean, maybe not for all 365 days in one year – but can you do it even in December?

mga 10 degrees C pag papasok sa umaga this december. not bad winter weather to bike.
and yes, you can bike year round in southern california.
Kayang-kaya mo ang 26K. Ang tanong ay ano ang target mong time?
Ako rin dream ko tumakbo ng full-marathon kaya lang try ko muna half-marathon.
Miss ko pa rin ang weather diyan.

sarap nga ng takbo ko kahapon – inorasan ko yung 5.05 miles na tinakbo ko. mga 10.27 minutes per mile. at this pace, i can finish the 26.2 mile marathon in 4.5 hours.
unang araw ko ng pag train para sa rock and roll marathon at may limang buwan pa ako para maghandang tumakbo. ok naman ang first day ko – hindi ako napagod ng husto.

medyo daunting yung marathon dreams pero pagbubutihan ko. kaya ko nga ginawa ang public announcement ay para talagang ma motivate ako. may blog ako, to monitor my progress through the next 5 months:

goodluck Pa. you have my support 100%. whatever you need, sabihin mo lang, basta kaya ko, no questions asked. we’ll eat lean and green, you’ll have all the time you want to run (errr… away from me? not! hehehe) and maybe sometimes I’ll run with you except that I know that wouldn’t serve anything save slow you down but if you want, you know… I’ll be there.
And I’ll pray everyday that you make it to the starting line and finish that race.
Just that you know, though… I am proud of everything you’re doing and I have no doubt that once you set your mind and heart to it, you can do most anything.
Just take care of yourself. That’s all I ask.

medyo mahirap nga yung goal ko to run 26 miles (lalo na para sa akin, a 42 year old ex-smoker) pero gagawin ko lahat to get this done. the rock and roll marathon of san diego, i hear, is one of the races that is truly fun to run. it’ll go through all the scenic spots of SD. i can’t wait. but for the next five months, i have to get in shape.
ang gusto ko lang, kung sakaling matuloy ang plano ko to run in san diego this june, ay makita yung mukha mo when i cross the finish line.

Hi uncle, you are going to be my inspiration. my last bay2breaker run was 10 years ago, i was actually fit then & that was only 7miles. i cant even run up the second floor anymore that’s how unsat i am. 26.2miles! i just need motivation and a good kick start. 🙂
i will start with running at least 2miles every other day. 🙂
i ran 3 miles during lunch today. next sunday, i’ll do 6 miles. hopefully, by early may, i would have increased this to 22 miles. the marathon’s on june 1st. good luck with your program. i hope you have a lot of fun. it doesn’t have to be a big pain to work out so start slowly.

yung no meat (or less meat) diet super effective. from january 2007 until november puro fish, vegetable and chicken ako plus konting rice, nabawasan ako ng 10 kilos 🙂
