And it's not a cry that you hear at night, It's not somebody who's seen the light

Hallelujah” – leonard cohen’s masterpiece and my personal favorite. sinubukan kong kantahin pero hanggang first part lang. mahirap kasi itong i-deliver dahil sa bwakanginang phrasing. KD lang covered this song and jet and i love to play it all the time.

opening stanza pa lang, pamatay na…

I’ve heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don’t really care for music, do you?
Well it goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Happy vday bosing. see you next week! iniisnow kami ngayon dito sa NJ!

  3. happy valentines day din sa inyo eye and jop.

ang dami naming version nito – may jeff buckley, rufus wainright (great sweet voice), KD lang (ma peborit) at siyempre kay idol leonard cohen. ibang klase talaga ang mga lyrics ni cohen. lalo na etong “hallelujah” pag pinapakinggan mo ang kanta, para kang minamasahe. he’s a genius.

subukan mo yung kay KD lang jop. yung CD nito na “songs form the 49th parallel” ay mga cover version ng kanta ng mga canadian artists (cohen and kd lang are canadians, sama na si neil young whom KD covered in this CD as well).

  4. Hepiblentayms tito BJ & tita Jet 🙂

Napakanta tuloy ako: hallelujah…hallelujah…haallelujah…haaa-leee-luuuuh-huuu-jaaah. I luv rufus wainwright’s version-kaya ako napabili ng shrek soundtrack 🙂

RE:Lyrics.

  5. PS: I should mention this: Si Joni Mitchell din pala – ang galing magsulat! But sometimes its really hard to get into her groove – unless intindihin mo muna mabuti yung lyrics.

  6. oo nga, maganda ang version ni rufus wainright. lalo na yung studio version dahil malinaw na malinaw ang pagbigkas niya ng mga lyrics. that and KD lang’s version – which is more subtle. tendency mo kasi as a singer is to belt out this song. but KD lang does it quietly, as if she is praying.

    ingat.

ps joni mitchell rocks. have you heard “urge for going”? one of these days, kakantahhin ko rin yon.

  7. op kors, op kors! One of my fave plus A Case of You (from Blue), River (wag patugtugin pag Xmas-kaiyak) at ang mga walang kamatayang Big Yellow Taxi & Both Sides Now 😉

  8. bagay sa boses mo, bosing. Pag aralan mong maigi.

belated happy valentine’s sa yo jay and jet.
