She’s got a personality like an open grave

may bago akong natutunan na catch phrase sa conference namin last week – “they stick together like shit to a blanket.” ang ibig sabihin ata nito ay “predictable” o “inseperable”. mayroon bang nakakaalam kung saan nanggaling ang katagang ito? dumidikit ba talaga ang ebak sa kumot? nakakumot ba ang mga taga england pag umeebak? ang nagbitaw kasi nito ay kasama kong taga england na bukang bibig ang pag mumura. ang isang maganda lang sa mga english (i.e. mga taga england) eh kahit ang lutong magmura, dahil sa accent nila eh akala mo matino pa rin ang sinasabi.

use in a sentence: “my gelpren and i, we stick together like shit to a blanket.”

  1. hoy! i googled chocnut and came across your site… it’s so hysterical! i love it! so i bookmarked it… i checked some of your pics and some people there are familiar to me – siguro meron tayong mutual acquaintances… keep bloggin’!

  2. Sa Pinas ko narinig yung ‘shit happens.’ Sa SG ko naman narinig yung ‘shit hits the fan.’ Dito naman eto ang meron, ‘like shit to a blanket.’ What’s with all the shit?

  3. pwede ba tong gamitin like if a defender sticks to a forward player like what might happen today, Japan VS Croatia’s game? Sana manalo naman kami, please naman!

  4. bakit nga ganun pag nagmura ka ng english di masyadong masakit sa tenga kahit galit na galit ka na pero pag tagalog ang lutong grabe tagos hanggang kaluluwa …

  5. doncha just love visual language? sabi ko nga sa aking comeback entry: “…like athlete’s foot to flood waders, I am back.”

    kamusta, kuyang?

  6. hi mona.

indeed, you are back like athlete’s foot to flood waders, like pimples to an oily face, like paltos to a tight shoe, like black kulangot to new years eve, and so on, and so forth.
